A Caledonia man faces three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for three alleged incidents dating back to April 2016.
Peter E. Holland, 53, was arrested Monday and booked in the Winnebago County Jail, where he has since posted bond.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by 13 WREX, Holland allegedly sexually abused a teenager in Winnebago County on three different occasions, two of which happened earlier this year and the third back in 2016. All 3 counts are Class 2 felonies.
13 WREX also has learned Holland had done work with Edwards Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove. A spokesperson from Edwards says Holland was an independent contractor who provided wagon rides at the orchard. They said Holland’s family has been giving wagon rides at Edwards for the last 20 years.
The spokesperson says as soon as they learned about the arrest, Holland’s contract was terminated immediately. Edwards posted a statement on Facebook today saying:
“As soon as we were made aware of this individuals booking, his position was immediately terminated. He will never again be allowed on this property. Due to his connection to the horse drawn wagon rides, we will no longer be able to offer wagon rides this season. Thank you all for your concern.”
